Congratulations to Sam D’Alessio on his promotion to engineering project manager and to Ken Orloff on his promotion to senior project engineer!

Sam joined THP in 2017 and focuses on structural design. He enjoys projects with challenging architectural designs, particularly healthcare and higher education buildings. Sam is also a member of the THP Rope Access team that accesses façades. He has worked on a variety of structural projects including Kettering Health Soin Hospital, University of Toledo North Engineering Building, the façade restoration of Case Western Reserve University’s H. G. Wood Building, and numerous rope access building envelope assessments. Sam’s involvement on the rope access team is one of his favorite parts of working at THP.  Sam says, “I have always enjoyed being active, and my work on THP’s rope access team provides the perfect balance of mental and physical challenge.”

Ken joined THP in 2021. He focuses on the design of new structures and enjoys the problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration required to be successful in his role. Ken’s promotion follows his recently earned Professional Engineer certification. Before coming to THP, Ken was a project engineer designing deep foundation systems utilizing micro piles and helical piles to support new buildings. Some of Ken’s project work includes general structural work for Hamilton County and the renovation of Ogden Hall at Miami University. Ken says, “I have always had a passion for engineering and knew I wanted to pursue this career from an early age.”
