The $19 million Hamilton County Findlay Market Parking Garage reached a major construction milestone with a topping-out ceremony. The garage is a seven-level, 519-stall parking garage located next to Findlay Market in Cincinnati’s historic Over-the-Rhine (OTR) district. THP was the prime designer, parking consultant, and structural engineer of record for the garage, which was designed to complement the aesthetics of OTR.
After completion of the THP-designed West End Garage near TQL Stadium, Hamilton County recognized a need for more parking options in the OTR neighborhood to alleviate congestion in the area for patrons of Findlay Market and TQL Stadium, home of FC Cincinnati. The project also includes ground-level retail space which serves to extend Findlay Market to Central Parkway. The structure supports residents, compliments the existing neighborhood, and welcomes visitors to explore the area.
THP led the design team through a significant planning exercise to determine the Findlay Market Garage footprint, location, and geometrics. Numerous site layouts and garage geometries were studied to establish an efficient parking layout while working with the surrounding stakeholders.
