Restoration & Waterproofing
Union Terminal

Project Overview
Originally built as a train station in 1933, the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal is home to three museums, OMNIMAX Theater, Holocaust & Humanity Center, and the Cincinnati History Library and Archives. The 110,000 SF plaza located over the museum exhibit space contains landscaped areas, a fountain and monumental stair feature, a vehicular drive, and serves as the main approach for pedestrians entering the building.
THP provided structural engineering and waterproofing consulting services for the exterior plaza which included removing the existing waterproofing system, concrete repairs, and installing a new hot-applied reinforced waterproofing system.
