PE, Parksmart Advisor
I am a principal with a focus on new structures. As a structural engineer, I have design and construction experience with both reinforced concrete and steel. My structural engineering design work includes parking garages, higher education, healthcare, commercial, and federal facilities. However, my passion is cast-in-place post-tensioned structures. In order to do my part in providing a better world for my children, I became a Parksmart Advisor.
I grew up in a neighborhood under construction on the west side of Cincinnati. My free time was spent exploring construction sites, dumpster diving for scrap wood to build treehouses, or watching basketball at the University of Cincinnati (UC). This led to a passion for construction and a desire to attend UC—where I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees—for the free student tickets to games. While in school, I did a co-op term at a construction company and was assigned to a THP-designed post-tensioned parking garage project. I was fascinated by the concept of post-tensioned concrete and decided that I wanted to make a career out of designing it. I was lucky enough to be hired by THP for my next co-op term and have been at the company ever since.
When not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children.
