I graduated in 2024 from the University of Cincinnati having earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture. My experience designing commercial, municipal, healthcare and historic projects allowed me to realize that I have a great love for old and historic buildings. I focused both my thesis and my undergraduate capstone projects on the preservation and reuse of local historic buildings in Cincinnati. One of my favorite co-op opportunities was in Washington D.C., where I got the opportunity to work on historic buildings at the Smithsonian and the National Zoo. I came to realize that while I enjoyed design, I much preferred the restoration and preservation of buildings.
As a part of the Building Envelope team at THP, I work with the older materials I enjoy, while restoring buildings and structures to their former glory. The buildings we work on have their own stories and I love that what I do directly impacts their ability to stand tall into the future. Professionally, I enjoy the challenges and the opportunities for growth that these projects present. THP has helped me hone my construction detailing skills, structural understanding, and of course, preservation knowledge.
As a local Cincinnatian, I am so proud to work on buildings in the communities that I have been around for much of my life. In my personal life, I spend my time reading, hanging out with my pets at home, playing games with friends, and doing tech for local community theaters.
