With a passion for math and science, I chose civil engineering as my major and received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tongji University, China, with a concentration in bridge engineering. I earned my Ph.D. from Northeastern University, where my research focused on deconstructable composite flooring systems.
Prior to joining THP, I worked at a structural engineering firm in New York for seven years and contributed to the design and renovation of commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. I also have extensive expertise in seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing structures on the West Coast, helping reinforce the safety and resilience of the built environment. I enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver code-compliant and efficient designs, managing project schedules and budgets by maintaining a high-level perspective and prioritizing critical path items, and foster strong relationships with owners, architects, and contractors.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and cooking.
