Welcoming Lauren Schmitz and Eric Hoffman to THP Limited

We are excited to announce two new additions to the THP Limited team—Lauren Schmitz and Eric Hoffman—who bring with them a wealth of passion, experience, and enthusiasm for the built environment. Both Lauren and Eric are based in our Cincinnati office.

Lauren Schmitz joins our Building Envelope team with a deep-rooted curiosity and a puzzle-solver’s mindset. A native of Vandalia, Ohio, Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and a master’s from Johns Hopkins University, where she specialized in archaic construction techniques. Her approach to engineering is grounded in understanding the full story of a building—its history, its users, and its structure. Whether she’s diving into decades-old drawings or collaborating with contractors to find constructable solutions, Lauren thrives on uncovering the “why” behind every condition. Her thoughtful communication style and commitment to team alignment make her an asset to our projects and clients alike.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Rocky and Daisy, and can often be found solving jigsaw puzzles or rewatching episodes of Friends. She’s thrilled to be back in Ohio and looks forward to preserving the architectural legacy of Cincinnati and its surrounding communities.

Eric Hoffman joins our Restoration and Waterproofing team, bringing a strong foundation in architectural design and a passion for the intersection of art and math. Originally from Cincinnati, Eric earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Virginia Tech. His professional journey has been shaped by hands-on design experience and a formative summer studying architecture in Rome, where he witnessed the evolution of the built environment from ancient to modern.
Eric is driven by a desire to expand his knowledge and capabilities as he works toward licensure. His strengths in problem-solving and attention to detail are already making an impact on our team. When he’s not at work, Eric enjoys staying active, cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, playing chess and golf, and spending time with friends and family.
