I am the BIM Manager at THP. In addition to helping our staff use various Autodesk products productively and consistently, I am also the project coordinator on many large projects. I have experience in many building construction types, including concrete medical buildings, steel office buildings, post-tensioned concrete garages, and wood and light gauge framed buildings. To stay current with all things BIM, I subscribe to multiple newsletters, participate in various BIM groups, continuously increase my own knowledge through training exercises, and remain an Autodesk Revit Structure Certified Professional.
I am passionate about creating coordinated drawings and models that are usable by the entire design team in a true BIM environment. Seeing partner companies we work with succeed is an important measure of my own success. I also like to build relationships with my counterparts at partner companies, and never shy away from engaging in an enjoyable conversation. I feel having fun while completing work is a huge component in being successful. I also believe the people I work with at our partner companies trust that I will provide what we have promised, when we have promised it.
I started working at THP in 1997, and my employment here came about by accident! While studying civil and structural engineering at the University of Cincinnati, a friend of mine who was a co-op at THP told me the company was looking to hire a draftsperson, and he knew I was passionate about it and good at it. Years later and I am so glad I jumped at the opportunity to work for such a great company. THP has helped me mature in ways I never expected, and I am proud to have taken the opportunity by the horns and grown into my present role.
I grew up in Monroe, Ohio, and after moving around the area for a few years, my family settled back in my hometown. I have been married to my amazing wife since 1998 and together we have two daughters who we could not be prouder of. We love vacationing as a family, watching movies or TV together in the evenings, playing games together, and generally just being around each other. In my free time I like to volunteer with a couple of local organizations that are close to my heart, and while I am not as good at golf as I was in my youth, I still enjoy hitting the links from time to time.
