THP provided structural engineering services for the transformation of a five-story, 121,000 SF office building into the new Galen College of Nursing Vista Campus in San Antonio, Texas. The adaptive reuse project converted an existing commercial office facility into a modern educational environment designed to support nursing education and student collaboration.

Structural renovations included the addition of a prominent monumental stair and atrium space near the building entrance, creating a welcoming focal point while improving connectivity between the first and second floors. The project also introduced new stairs extending from the ground level to the roof to enhance circulation and code-compliant egress throughout the facility. Existing meeting spaces were modernized to support flexible learning and collaboration using oversized operable partitions.
