THP provided structural design services for this 13-story luxury apartment building in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The building contains 125 apartment units, street-level retail, a fitness center, and rooftop amenity space.

Working closely with the architect, THP developed a tight column grid and utilized perimeter cantilevers to better balance the slab loadings. This resulted in a uniform 7” thick post-tensioned slab on all levels in lieu of the 10” and 12” thick slabs specified in the previous design, while not adding any columns. A total structural savings of $1.5 million was achieved.
