THP provided structural engineering services for the new Customer Service Building (CSB) at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). The three-level, five-story 95,000 GSF building connects the Terminal Building to the Ready Return Facility building which houses rental car operations and CVG offices.  

The CSB public areas consist of two double-volume heights, utilizing long-span trusses to provide an open, airy feel over four stories. The first level houses rental car counters and the second level is designed for future use as terminal ticketing and baggage drop-off. CVG offices occupy the fifth story. The CSB ties into the existing terminal building by a seamless transition utilizing cantilevered trusses to avoid existing foundations and the basement. Ramping between the existing and new structure was utilized to match floor elevations.
