The Point is a mixed-use development designed to address the growing demand for student housing at the University of Cincinnati. The project features a five-story wood-framed, 55 residence units constructed atop a two-story post-tensioned concrete parking podium. This configuration maximizes land use efficiency while providing essential residential and parking infrastructure.

As the structural engineer and parking consultant, THP leveraged its extensive experience in mixed-use developments to design an efficient podium structure that supports the upper wood-framed levels. The integration of sustainable design strategies was a key consideration, with specific attention given to minimizing thermal conductivity between exterior and interior structural elements.
