Originally opened in 1967 and then named for the Slater Family in 2017, the Bowling Green State University’s (BGSU) Slater Family Ice Arena serves as the home for the Falcon Hockey team (NCAA Division I), multiple high school hockey teams, the Bowling Green Skating Club, and the Bowling Green Youth Hockey Association.

The renovation included a new mezzanine at the south side of the arena and main entrance lobby addition. The 6,400 SF mezzanine includes four private suites, additional premium fan seating, and concessions. The 1,220 SF entrance addition revised the ticketing and main entrance to the arena for more efficient patron flow including a large new opening to the arena floor. The project also included renovations to various restrooms throughout the building.
